How to Use
These games are meant to be played independently! They are self-checking. This means the students will know if they got the answer right or wrong without the help of others.
Each monthly game has a different skill, but they are played the exact same way. Students can be taught the concept of the game and eventually play by themselves. Teach how to play by modeling and practicing a few times. Once the students get the hang of how to play, they will be capable of doing them independently!

1. Students look at the outside of the file folder. They identify what is on the front. This might include counting objects, identifying the beginning sound, or matching letters.

2. Students open the folder to check the answer! They can then mark it on their recording sheet.
Options
- Hang in the hallways of your school
- My school is an early childhood center, meaning all of our students are ages 3-5. We were all working on the same skills in our classrooms. This allowed us to hang the games throughout the hallways! Students would go out in groups with paraprofessionals or assistants to complete the games. It was a great way for the entire school to get in on the fun!
- Hang around your classroom
- You can hang the file folders around your classroom and use the game as a center. Cut the file folders in half to save some space!
- Use just the cards
- If you don’t have space to hang up the file folders, you can simply use the cards. Laminate them with the picture on one side and the answer on the back. They will still be self-checking, but will require less room and prep!
